About

After 36 years as a nurse I retired and returned to my first love, art. I have always enjoyed arts and crafts, they have for many years been my go to to relieve stress, now I can enjoy art for what it is, a way to express myself and describe my view of the world. In recent years I have become more and more distressed at what man has done to the world, I love nature and a lot of my work concerns man’s influence on nature. We are now living in the Anthropocene era meaning that man has the greatest effect on our planet at this time. My work often develops from the photos I have taken and objects that have been collected.

When painting I don’t try to be realistic but rather try to communicate how I feel. As a student of art I am constantly learning and developing my art.
